What is Chiropractic care? Chiropractors are spine, muscle and joint experts. They are qualified and trained specifically to assess, diagnose and provide effective treatment for back and neck pain, headaches, migraines, restricted mobility and much more. Care is evidence- based and focuses on hands-on-care, stretches/ exercises, nutrition and preventative measures. Chiropractors are primary care providers for musculoskeletal injuries. A referral is not required to make an appointment with a Chiropractor. Coverage may be available through your extended health plan and may also be covered by ICBC, WSBC* and MSP**.

Our goal, at Victoria Family Chiropractic, is to help you reach your goal which may include relieving your pain and discomfort, restoring mobility or help preventing injuries of the spine, muscles and joints. We hope to add life to your years.

Chiropractic

As a primary caregiver, Chiropractors are health care professionals that focuses on the musculoskeletal system and nervous system and the effects of these systems on general health through assessment and diagnosis. Chiropractic care is used most often for neuromusculoskeletal complaints including but not limited to back pain, neck pain, joint pain and headaches.

Dr. Copeland graduated in 2005 from Palmer College of Chiropractic West as class Valedictorian, Magna Cum Laude following his nursing career. His journey started after a bicycle accident left him in critical condition, requiring multiple surgeries. Chiropractic played a vital role in his recovery, leading him to a change in profession. He continues to study and pursue human performance by regularily attending post- graduate trainings throughout North America. He is a masters track sprinter and uses chiropractic care to help keep him at his best. He purchased Victoria Family Chiropractic in 2006 and hasn’t looked back. He is a member of the BC Chiropractic Association and the Canadian Chiropractic Association and is certified in Webster Technique, Tourque Release and Active Release Therapy. Dr. Friede Kiernan was born and raised in Calgary and received a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology from the University of Calgary before moving to San Jose to complete her Doctor of Chiropractic degree from Palmer College of Chiropractic West Campus. After struggling with sport related injuries while growing up, Friede sought various therapeutic techniques to help manage the pain and elevate her game. Chiropractic care was the only modality that got her pain free and back to doing what she loved. After experiencing the amazing results herself, she started working in a chiropractic office and was able to witness many testimonials of improved wellbeing and mobility. It was during this time Friede knew chiropractic was the path she was meant to follow. With a passion for the human body, Friede combines hands on chiropractic care and soft tissue modalities with education and exercise prescription to keep patients functioning optimally. With a specialized interest in families, Friede enjoys supporting both parents and children and is a member of the International Chiropractic Paediatric Association and is certified in Webster Technique.
